<p>Barnes and Noble now has their own rendition of an e-book reader. What&#8217;s it called, &#8220;Nook&#8221;. Theirs comes after their recently release of <a title="Digg" href="http://digg.com/d3yzT8" target="_blank">free wifi for all</a>. Their largest competition? Amazon. Sony has some out there, but doesn&#8217;t seem as popular. Though I have been to many different retailers, and the Sony works great. Of course it supports all the popular formats already out there, like for the <a title="Wall Street Journal" href="http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124812243356966275.html" target="_blank">iPhone/iTouch, Blackberry, PCs and Macs</a>. Is it worth it? We don&#8217;t know just yet, as we don&#8217;t have a price, but I figure it will directly compete with the price of the Amazon Kindle.(Update: <a title="Engadget" href="http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/20/barnes-and-noble-officially-launches-nook-e-reader-259-pre-orde/" target="_blank">$249</a> and now taking pre-orders) You can see more over at Engadget, but here is a video of it directly from that post:</p>
