Windows Phone 7 to get NFC too?
0
Well it seems the NFC rumors are getting louder and louder about NFC. With all the rumors about this technology going into the next iPhone, then not going into it, then it is; it seem that Microsoft wants to get into the rumor mill as well with its phones. These NFC chips are already being tested at Bank of America and in San Francisco. Right now though, this is all blackberry testing, no iOS or WP7 devices yet. It seems that the devices could support this technology even as early as this year. What is bad, is that Nokia already ships devices with this chip in it. So it seems everyone else is behind and trying to catch up.
Could this be in your next WP7 device? Could it be in the upcoming iOS update?
I can’t hardly wait to be honest, that’s one less thing that I have to carry with me when I go to concerts and events!!
(watch this trail… I thought it was funny to see how this story got around the web, since I found it on Digg first)

XBOX squeezing out 1GB of space on “new” format discs
0Well it seems that the XBOX discs are getting stretched out to the brim. Microsoft wanted to start a new Preview Program for the XBOX 360 community and did it by way of a tweet from Larry Hryb aka @MajorNelson on Twitter.
The details seemed to be that the company wanted to try a new format of discs and for everyone that got in on the program, got a free “new” format disc of Halo: Reach. The new format seems be that the discs are currently capped at 6.8GB of data for the game side of things and the rest for DVD-Video and copyright side of things. With the new format, they will now be able to use 7.95GB of the dual-layer discs. This means more space for the game side of things, but what happens to the copyright side?? Who knows? It seems that this will be rolling out in the near future, but until the new program testers get the “new” formatted discs, we won’t know what the difference is. The original Halo: Reach maxed out at 6.6GB, so now with the extra gig of space, will there be any difference in polygon count or just more game-play features? We shall see…

Can Microsoft humble the Jesus Phone with WM7???
0With Microsoft soon to be announcing Windows Mobile 7 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month, there is high speculation that there will be a Zune Phone, model after the Zune HD, being able to play HD video straight out the box. Not only that, but be able to plug HDMI straight out too! I would think they would follow the Zune HD and make it via a dock connector of some sort, but we shall see. There has apparently been evidence of the existence of a Zune phone since the last update to the USB driver software. The phone will run the Tegra platform from Nvida just like the Zune HD does, so it may be the best screen you have ever seen! The idea seems that it will not be particularly a Zune phone, but a Windows Mobile phone with Zune software, much like the iPhone runs iPod software.

Micro$oft’s Courier sure looks promising
0so if you haven’t seen this thing, I recommend going straight to the video and skip all the reading. This thing looks like it is going to take on the tablet market and kill all who stands in it’s way. This looks to kill the Kindle, the Sony whatever and any others that are coming to market anytime soon. Watching the video, I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. It basically puts a tablet in a book style and then adds a touch screen interface and makes you feel like you are literally opening a book and reading it, only BETTER! I watched the guy flip a page, and it looked like a real book changing pages as he turned it across the two screens! Even when you use the stylus, it looked like he was taking notes on a real notepad!!! Just watch the video and so some research for this thing in the near future!
